Travel to Kyoto from Tokyo by shinkansen and spend 2 days in the historic city. This convenient, bargain package includes hotel accommodation and bullet train tickets. Take the hassle out of an overnight trip to the ancient capital of Kyoto. Just hop on the shinkansen and head to Kyoto! See Kinkakuji Temple (the Golden Pavilion), beautiful Kiyomizudera Temple, the Heian Shrine and Fushimi Inari. Go geisha-spotting in Gion, or shopping at Nishiki Market... see exactly the sights you wish to see, and explore at your own leisure. Less expensive than booking separately, this plan includes tickets for the Nozomi bullet train and one night at your preferred hotel.
Cancellation Policy
- Any cancellations made between 8 business days (18:00 local time) to 2 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 30% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made between 2 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 business days (18:00 local time) prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 40% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made between 1 business days (18:00 local time) to 1 hours prior to the activity start time will be subject to a charge of 50% of the total amount.
- Any cancellations made after 1 hours prior to the activity will be subject to a charge of 100% of the total amount.

- Children (ages 0-5 years) will be able to participate for free under the following conditions. Tour: An individual seat will not be provided. Please have them sit on the lap of their parent or guardian. If there are seats available, they are welcome to use it, however they will not be getting a priority in seating. Accommodations: An extra bed or futon mat will not be provided. If you would like any of the above for children (ages 0-5 years), please book them as a child.
- Tickets can only be delivered to hotels and hostels with a 24 hour front desk. Delivery to AirBnB accommodations and private homes is not possible.
- This is an exclusive tour intended for overseas travelers only. Please note that residents of Japan cannot participate.
Additional Notes
- This is an unguided plan. Only the transportation and accommodations described in the itinerary are included in this package. All other transportation or services must be arranged and paid for separately by the customer.
- No requests can be made for departure/arrival times and seating assignments.
- Actual bullet train times may vary due to train schedule adjustments. Please check your ticket and the final itinerary for the train number and departure time.
- For those in one group but booking the tour separately, please contact and inform the tour operator.
- No refunds will be issued even if the bullet train tickets are not used.
- Hotel ticket delivery: Tickets will be sent by the day prior to tour departure. When booking, please enter the hotel's official name, address (all including postal code, prefecture, city, area number, etc.), and the name used for the hotel booking. Please be aware that service will not be possible if there are any errors in the information provided.
- Tokyo City i pick-up: Pick-up is possible starting from 7 days before the tour departure date until the day prior to departure. Also, regarding bookings made less than 7 days prior to the tour departure date, pick-up will be possible starting from 2 days after the booking is made until the day prior to departure. Pick-up may be made only on or after the designated pick-up date. Tickets cannot be issued or changed at Tokyo City i.
Dressing & Items to Bring
- From mid-May 2020, it will not be possible to bring large luggage whose total height, width, and length exceeds 160 cm onto Shinkansen. Customers with large luggage should either arrange for delivery service themselves or pay a fee (JPY 1,000, tax incl.) to station staff on the day that they board.
